The humpbacked flute player is one of the most iconic images in Rock Art. This unique variation of the flute playing deity is found in North-Western New Mexico. 800 years old, this Ancestral Puebloan Petroglyph is classified as a "Composite Figure" - incorporating both human and animal forms. The flared end of the flute represents a gourd, which was often added to flutes as an enticing decoration.
