The Snake emerges from in-between the rocks and slithers horizontally across a large boulder in Central Utah. This Fremont Culture Petroglyph is over 8 feet long. Many Ancient Native Cultures revered snakes - some feared them. The ability to live in two worlds - both above and below ground level - as well as the fact that they shed their skin, led to the development of many wide-ranging beliefs about snakes.
